Atorvastatin

This is a statin medication that lowers cholesterol levels in the blood.

Aspirin

This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) that helps to prevent blood clots.

Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in highrisk patients, especially those with high cholesterol levels.

Secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease in patients who have already experienced a heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular events.

Reduction of the risk of cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, and unstable angina.

May also be used for other purposes as prescribed by your doctor.

Atorvastatin works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which is responsible for the production of cholesterol in the liver. This leads to a decrease in cholesterol levels in the blood. Aspirin works by inhibiting the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that promotes blood clotting. This helps to prevent blood clots from forming and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of Atorvastatin + Aspirin will vary depending on your individual needs and medical condition.

Your doctor will determine the best dosage for you based on your risk factors and other medications you are taking.

Typically, it is taken once a day with or without food.

It is important to take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed.

Muscle pain, weakness, or tenderness.

Headache, dizziness, or lightheadedness.

Stomach pain or upset.

Constipation or diarrhea.

Rash or itching.

Rarely, liver problems or muscle breakdown.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of stomach bleeding, especially when taken with aspirin. Discuss with your doctor about safe alcohol intake.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Atorvastatin + Aspirin is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss with your doctor before using this medication.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children. Discuss with your doctor regarding appropriate alternative medications.



Kidney

Patients with kidney problems may need to have their dosage adjusted. Discuss with your doctor.



Liver

Patients with liver problems may need to have their dosage adjusted. Discuss with your doctor.
