Atenolol reduces blood pressure by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels, slowing the heart rate and reducing its force. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure by increasing the excretion of sodium and water from the body, reducing blood volume.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.
Dosage is determined by the physician based on individual needs and response.
Medication should be taken as prescribed, usually once daily.
