Atacurium Inj 10ml (Atracurium Besylate) acts as a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent. It competitively binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction, preventing the action of acetylcholine and thus causing muscle relaxation. It is rapidly metabolized by Hofmann elimination and ester hydrolysis, avoiding the need for hepatic or renal metabolism.
Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) [See USP]. Protect from light. Dispose of unused medication according to local regulations. Do not freeze.
Dosage is determined by the physician based on individual patient needs, age, weight, and other factors.
Administration is typically intravenous.

Hypotension
Tachycardia
Bronchospasm (rare but potentially serious)
Muscle weakness (postoperative)

The effects of alcohol and atracurium besylate are not well-studied, but it is generally advised to avoid alcohol consumption before or after surgery requiring this medication.
Patients should not drive or operate machinery until the effects of the medication have completely worn off and they are fully alert and recovered.
Atracurium besylate should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding if the benefits clearly outweigh the potential risks. Discuss with your doctor before use.
Dosage adjustments are necessary for children; it should only be administered under strict medical supervision.
Renal impairment generally does not require dosage adjustment because atracurium is not significantly eliminated by the kidneys.
Hepatic impairment does not significantly impact atracurium metabolism due to its non-hepatic metabolism.
