Treatment of chronic iron overload due to blood transfusions (transfusional hemosiderosis) in patients with betathalassemia major and other anemias.

Treatment of chronic iron overload in patients with nontransfusion-dependent thalassemia syndromes.

Asunra 400mg Tab (Deferasirox) is an oral iron chelator. It binds to iron in the body and helps to eliminate it through the urine and feces. This reduces the iron overload in the body and helps to prevent damage to organs.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C) in a tightly closed container, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

The dose of deferasirox is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It is usually taken once daily with food.

Dosage adjustments may be necessary based on kidney function and side effects.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of liver damage. Limit alcohol intake.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Deferasirox may cause dizziness or fatigue. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Deferasirox should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor. It is not recommended during breastfeeding.



Children

Dosage adjustments are usually necessary for children. Always follow your doctor's instructions.



Kidney

Kidney problems may occur. Your kidney function should be monitored regularly.
