Olmesartan Medoxomil

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels.

Amlodipine

A calcium channel blocker that also lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the heart's workload.

Hydrochlorothiazide

A thiazide diuretic that lowers blood pressure by increasing urine output and reducing blood volume.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with olmesartan medoxomil and amlodipine alone.

This combination medication works synergistically to lower blood pressure. Olmesartan medoxomil blocks the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels directly. Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine output, reducing blood volume and pressure.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C) in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual needs and response to treatment.

Do not crush, chew, or open the tablet. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Take the medication at the same time each day, as directed by your doctor.

Headache

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it can worsen the blood pressure-lowering effects of the medication and increase the risk of side effects.



Driving or Operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. This medication is generally not recommended during pregnancy.



Children

Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be necessary.



Liver
