Arvast 15mg Tab (Rosuvastatin) belongs to a class of drugs called statins. It works by blocking the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in the production of cholesterol in the liver. By inhibiting this enzyme, rosuvastatin lowers the levels of cholesterol in the blood.

Store rosuvastatin at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Dosage is usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush or chew the tablet, swallow it whole.

Rosuvastatin does not typically impair alertness or coordination. However, if you experience side effects like dizziness or fatigue, it's best to avoid driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Rosuvastatin is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women as it may harm the developing baby. Discuss your reproductive plans with your doctor.



Children

Rosuvastatin is not typically prescribed for children unless other treatment options have failed.



Kidney

People with kidney disease may need to take lower doses or have their rosuvastatin dosage adjusted.



Liver

People with liver disease should be monitored closely while taking rosuvastatin. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose based on your liver function.
