Atracurium besylate is the active ingredient in this medication. It is a neuromuscular blocking agent.It is available as a sterile solution for intravenous injection.
Atracurium besylate is used to relax muscles during general anesthesia, especially for surgical procedures.
It is also used for mechanical ventilation in patients with difficulty breathing.
It may be used in conjunction with other medications during anesthesia.
Artacil 25mg Inj 2.5ml (Atracurium Besylate) works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to muscles, causing muscle relaxation. It does this by binding to receptors on the muscle cells, preventing acetylcholine from binding and triggering muscle contraction.
Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of reach of children.
Discard any unused portion of the medication after its expiration date.
Dosage is determined by the patient's weight, age, and medical condition.
The medication is typically administered intravenously by a healthcare professional.
