A thiazide diuretic that lowers blood pressure by increasing the excretion of sodium and water from the body.
Treatment of mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure)
Sometimes used as an adjunct in the management of severe hypertension when other medications are not sufficient
Clonidine reduces sympathetic outflow from the central nervous system, leading to decreased peripheral vascular resistance and heart rate. Hydrochlorothiazide increases sodium and water excretion, reducing blood volume and consequently blood pressure. The combined effect provides a synergistic reduction in blood pressure.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
