Enalapril

An angiotensin-converting enzyme (ace) inhibitor that blocks the conversion of angiotensin i to angiotensin ii, a powerful vasoconstrictor. this results in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.

Losartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that prevents angiotensin ii from binding to its receptors in the body, thereby blocking its vasoconstrictive and aldosterone-releasing effects. this also leads to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.

High blood pressure (hypertension), both alone and in combination with other antihypertensive medications.

Heart failure, to improve symptoms and survival in patients with mild to severe heart failure.

Diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease related to diabetes), to slow the progression of kidney damage.

After a heart attack (myocardial infarction), to reduce the risk of death and cardiovascular events.

Arbitace 25mg Tab (Enalapril + Losartan) work synergistically to lower blood pressure by reducing the constriction of blood vessels. Enalapril inhibits the production of angiotensin II, while losartan blocks its action. This combined effect leads to vasodilation, increased sodium excretion, and ultimately lower blood pressure.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not flush unused medication down the toilet or drain. Dispose of it properly.

The dosage of enalapril and losartan is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual condition, medical history, and response to treatment.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

It is important to take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Less common side effects: Low blood pressure, kidney problems, elevated potassium levels, and allergic reactions.

Serious side effects: Angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), which can be life-threatening.

Common side effects: Dizziness, headache, fatigue, cough, diarrhea, and muscle cramps.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure and other side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or lightheadedness. Therefore, it is important to avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it can harm the developing fetus. Consult your doctor for safe alternatives. It is also not recommended during breastfeeding as it can pass into breast milk.



Children

This medication is not recommended for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney
