Cyproheptadine

Hydrochloride is the active ingredient in medications containing cyproheptadine.

Treatment of allergic reactions, such as rhinitis (runny nose), urticaria (hives), and angioedema (swelling).

Treatment of symptoms associated with the common cold, such as sneezing, itching and watery eyes

Treatment of serotonin syndrome (in severe cases, often as part of a multidrug regimen).

Appetite stimulant (offlabel use, primarily for weight gain in specific situations; use should be under strict medical supervision).

Apitol Syp 100ml (Cyproheptadine) is a first-generation antihistamine with sedative and appetite-stimulating properties. It works by blocking the action of histamine at H1 receptors, thus reducing allergic symptoms. Its appetite-stimulating effect is not fully understood but may involve actions on serotonin receptors.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
