Ambroxol

Ambroxol hydrochloride is the active ingredient in most ambroxol formulations. It's a mucolytic agent.Different brands may contain additional inactive ingredients like flavorings, preservatives, and sweeteners. Check the product label for a complete list.

Treatment of productive cough associated with respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia).

Facilitation of mucus expectoration (coughing up phlegm).

Ambrodil 30mg Tab (Ambroxol) acts by increasing the secretion of fluid in the respiratory tract, reducing the viscosity (thickness) of mucus. This makes it easier to cough up and clear the phlegm, thereby relieving congestion and improving breathing.
