Brimonidine Tartrate

An alpha2-adrenergic agonist that reduces the production of aqueous humor in the eye.

Timolol Maleate

A beta-blocker that also lowers aqueous humor production and reduces intraocular pressure.

Treatment of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with openangle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

May be used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of other forms of glaucoma.

Brimonidine tartrate decreases aqueous humor production by acting on alpha2-adrenergic receptors in the ciliary body. Timolol maleate reduces aqueous humor production and may also increase outflow facility by acting on beta-adrenergic receptors in the ciliary body and possibly the trabecular meshwork.

Store at room temperature, 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Protect from light and moisture. Discard any unused medication after expiration date.

The dosage and frequency should be determined by your ophthalmologist.

Typically, one drop in the affected eye(s) once or twice daily.

Alcohol Consumption

The combined effects of alcohol and brimonidine/timolol are not well-studied; it is advisable to avoid excessive alcohol consumption.

May cause drowsiness or blurred vision; avoid these activities if affected.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy or breastfeeding.



Children

Use in children is not typically recommended without specific physician advisement.



Kidney

Caution advised in patients with severe kidney disease.
