Serious side effects: Lactic acidosis (a rare but serious condition), vitamin B12 deficiency, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

Common side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, gas, bloating

Other side effects: Headache, dizziness, fatigue, skin rash, itching, hives

Alcohol Consumption

Drinking alcohol while taking metformin and voglibose can increase your risk of lactic acidosis. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Be careful when driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is not recommended to take metformin and voglibose during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not typically used in children. Talk to your doctor about the safety of this medication for children.



Kidney
