Rosuvastatin

Rosuvastatin calcium is the active ingredient in most rosuvastatin formulations. It's a specific type of statin.Inactive ingredients vary depending on the brand and formulation (tablet, capsule etc.) and can include fillers, binders, and coatings. Check your medication's label for a complete list.

Primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) or mixed dyslipidemia (abnormal levels of multiple fats in the blood)

Prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with existing heart disease or high risk of heart disease

Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (a rare genetic condition causing extremely high cholesterol) – usually in combination with other therapies

Advastat 10 Tab (Rosuvastatin) inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in the liver's cholesterol production pathway. By blocking this enzyme, it reduces the synthesis of cholesterol in the liver and increases the number of LDL cholesterol receptors on liver cells, leading to increased LDL cholesterol removal from the bloodstream.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any medication that is outdated or showing signs of deterioration.

Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It's typically taken orally, once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets. Swallow them whole.

Children

Kidney
