Reserpine

An alkaloid derived from the rauwolfia serpentina plant, acting as a centrally acting alpha-adrenergic blocker and depleter of catecholamines.

Dihydralazine

A vasodilator that relaxes blood vessels, primarily acting on arterioles.

Hydrochlorothiazide

A thiazide diuretic that increases urine output, helping to lower blood volume and blood pressure.

Treatment of severe hypertension (high blood pressure) that has not responded adequately to other medications.

Management of hypertensive crises

This combination medication works through a synergistic effect of its components. Reserpine reduces sympathetic nervous system activity by depleting norepinephrine, leading to decreased vascular resistance. Dihydralazine directly relaxes arterioles, lowering peripheral resistance. Hydrochlorothiazide promotes diuresis, reducing blood volume and further contributing to blood pressure reduction. The combined action provides a more effective control of severe hypertension than any single agent.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C) in a tightly closed container, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.
