Isoflurane

Isoflurane is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called inhaled general anesthetics.

Isoflurane is used as a general anesthetic for surgical procedures.

It is also used for induction and maintenance of anesthesia.

Isoflurane may be used for both adults and children.

Isoflurane Inj 250ml (Isoflurane) works by enhancing the effects of the neurotransmitter GABA, which is responsible for inhibiting nerve activity. This results in a loss of consciousness and relaxation of muscles, making it possible to perform surgery.

Isoflurane should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

The dosage of Isoflurane is determined by the patient's age, weight, and medical condition.

It is administered by inhalation using a specialized anesthesia machine.

The duration of anesthesia depends on the type of surgery being performed.
