Prevention and treatment of blood clots (thromboembolic disorders) such as:

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)

Pulmonary embolism (PE)

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) with a high risk of stroke

Prevention of blood clots after certain surgeries or medical procedures.

Acenomac 3mg Tab (Nicoumalone) is an anticoagulant medication. It works by interfering with the production of certain clotting factors in the liver. This makes the blood thinner and less likely to clot. It is classified as a vitamin K antagonist, as it works by blocking the action of vitamin K, a vital component in blood clotting.

Store nicoumalone tablets at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of nicoumalone is individualized and depends on various factors including your medical history, age, and the condition being treated.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate starting dose and adjust it based on regular blood tests (INR - International Normalized Ratio) to ensure proper blood thinning.

Nicoumalone tablets should be taken orally with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or Operating Machinery

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Nicoumalone is not recommended for use during pregnancy, as it can cause harm to the fetus. It may also pass into breast milk, so consult your doctor before breastfeeding while taking nicoumalone.



Children
