Metoprolol slows the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contractions, further lowering blood pressure and reducing the workload on the heart. The combination provides a synergistic effect in managing hypertension and angina.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response.

Typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not abruptly stop taking this medication; consult your doctor for guidance on tapering off.

Children

Generally not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatrician.



Kidney

May need dosage adjustment in patients with impaired kidney function.



Liver

May need dosage adjustment in patients with impaired liver function.
