Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Glimepiride is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes, particularly when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
Accuglim 2mg Tab (Glimepiride) works by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas. It also increases the sensitivity of insulin receptors in muscle and fat tissue, allowing better uptake of glucose from the bloodstream.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C) in a tightly closed container, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
It's typically taken once daily, usually with breakfast.

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Symptoms include dizziness, sweating, trembling, and confusion.

Gastrointestinal upset: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Weight gain
Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking glimepiride.
If you experience hypoglycemia, it can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid these activities until symptoms improve.
Glimepiride is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential risks to the baby. Discuss alternative options with your doctor.
