The usual starting dose of acamprosate is 666 mg three times a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
Acamprosate is typically taken with food to reduce stomach upset.
It is important to take acamprosate regularly as prescribed, even if you are not experiencing alcohol cravings.
