Cefditoren

Cefditoren is the active ingredient in the drug formulation.It belongs to a class of antibiotics known as cephalosporins.

Cefditoren is used to treat bacterial infections in adults and children aged 6 months and older.

It is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis.

Common infections treated with cefditoren include sinusitis, otitis media (ear infection), bronchitis, and pneumonia.

Zostum O 200 Tab (Cefditoren) works by killing bacteria that cause infection. It does this by interfering with the bacteria's ability to build cell walls, which are essential for their survival.

Store cefditoren at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F).

It is usually taken by mouth, with or without food.

The most common side effects of cefditoren include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.

Less common side effects include headache, dizziness, and rash.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking cefditoren, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Cefditoren can cause dizziness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Cefditoren is safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, however, it's essential to consult your doctor before taking any medication during these times.



Children

Cefditoren is safe for use in children 6 months of age and older. It is available in a liquid formulation for easier administration.



Kidney

Cefditoren is eliminated by the kidneys. Patients with kidney problems may need a dosage adjustment.



Liver

Cefditoren is not known to cause liver problems.
