Vilano 40mg Tab (Vilazodone) is a serotonin modulator and stimulator (SMS) that works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in regulating mood, sleep, appetite, and other functions. By increasing serotonin levels, vilazodone helps to improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression.

Store vilazodone at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect it from light and moisture.

The usual starting dose of vilazodone is 20 mg once daily. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

Vilazodone is typically taken orally, with or without food.

It's crucial to follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and frequency of administration.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may worsen the side effects of vilazodone. It's best to avoid alcohol while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Vilazodone can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Vilazodone should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. It's unknown if vilazodone passes into breast milk. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor if you are breastfeeding.



Children

Vilazodone is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Patients with kidney problems may require dose adjustments.



Liver

Patients with liver problems should use vilazodone with caution.
