Valus 20mg Tab (Valdecoxib) is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor. COX-2 is an enzyme involved in the production of prostaglandins, which contribute to pain, inflammation, and fever. By selectively inhibiting COX-2, valdecoxib reduces inflammation and pain without significantly inhibiting COX-1, which is involved in protecting the stomach lining. This selectivity is intended to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C) away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.
