Treatment of giardiasis (a parasitic infection of the intestines)

Treatment of amebiasis (a parasitic infection of the intestines)

Tinvista 300mg Tab (Tinidazole) is an antibiotic that works by killing bacteria and parasites. It interferes with the DNA of these microorganisms, preventing them from multiplying and causing further infection.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage and duration of treatment will vary depending on the condition being treated.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Take the medication with a full glass of water, preferably with meals.

Do not stop taking the medication prematurely, even if you feel better. Complete the full course of treatment.

Nausea

Vomiting

Diarrhea

Abdominal pain

Headache

Dizziness

Metallic taste in the mouth

Vaginal itching or discharge (in women)

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking tinidazole and for at least 3 days after completing the medication. Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Tinidazole can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It's important to talk to your doctor before taking tinidazole if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tinidazole may not be safe for use during pregnancy and may pass into breast milk.



Children

The safety and effectiveness of tinidazole in children have not been established. Talk to your doctor before giving tinidazole to a child.



Kidney

Tinidazole is excreted through the kidneys. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust the dosage.



Liver

Tinidazole can be harmful to the liver. If you have liver problems, talk to your doctor before taking tinidazole.
