Teriparatide

Teriparatide is the active ingredient in the medication.It is a synthetic form of parathyroid hormone (PTH), a naturally occurring hormone that helps regulate calcium levels in the body.

Teriparatide is primarily prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men with high risk of fractures.

It is used to increase bone mineral density and reduce the risk of fractures in patients with osteoporosis.

Terifrac 3mlcartridge Inj (Teriparatide) works by mimicking the action of natural PTH. It stimulates bone formation by increasing the activity of osteoblasts (bone-building cells) and decreasing the activity of osteoclasts (bone-breaking cells). This leads to increased bone density and strength, reducing the risk of fractures.

Teriparatide is typically stored in a refrigerator between 36°F and 46°F (2°C and 8°C). Protect it from light and freezing. Do not shake the medication.

The dosage of teriparatide is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual needs.

It is typically administered once daily by subcutaneous injection (under the skin).

It is important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully and use the medication exactly as prescribed.

The most common side effects of teriparatide include nausea, dizziness, headache, and pain at the injection site.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or Operating Machinery

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Children

Kidney

Teriparatide is not recommended for patients with severe kidney disease.



Liver

Teriparatide is not known to cause significant liver problems.
