Treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection in adults.

Specifically indicated for patients with compensated liver disease.

Sebivo 600mg Tab (Telbivudine) is a nucleoside analog that inhibits the activity of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA polymerase, a crucial enzyme for viral replication. By interfering with this enzyme, it reduces the production of new HBV particles, thereby controlling the viral load and improving liver health.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C), protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

The recommended dosage is typically one 600mg tablet once daily.

Dosage adjustments might be necessary based on individual patient factors and liver function, always follow physician instructions.

Administer with or without food.

Do not interrupt or alter the course of treatment without consulting your doctor.

Elevated liver enzymes (ALT, AST) in some cases

Rare but serious: pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), lactic acidosis (build-up of lactic acid in the blood).

Children

Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with moderate or severe kidney impairment. Dosage adjustment may be necessary.



Liver

Use with caution in patients with pre-existing liver disease. Regular monitoring of liver function is important.
