Rabeprazole is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
Treating symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), such as heartburn and acid reflux.
Healing erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus caused by acid reflux).
Treating ulcers in the stomach and duodenum (first part of the small intestine).
Preventing ulcers in patients taking certain medications, such as aspirin or NSAIDs (nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs).
Razo Easy Sachet (Rabeprazole) works by blocking the production of stomach acid. It does this by inhibiting an enzyme called the hydrogen potassium ATPase (H+/K+ ATPase), which is found in the cells that line the stomach. By reducing acid production, rabeprazole helps to relieve symptoms of GERD and heal ulcers.
Store rabeprazole at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Keep it in the original container, tightly closed, and out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage of rabeprazole will vary depending on your condition and medical history. Your doctor will determine the right dosage for you.
Take rabeprazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it than your doctor prescribes.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablets.
You can take rabeprazole with or without food.
