Dexlansoprazole

Dexlansoprazole is the active ingredient in the medication.It is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that belongs to a class of drugs that reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults.

Shortterm treatment of erosive esophagitis (inflammation and damage to the esophagus) in adults.

Maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis in adults.

Treatment of heartburn and other symptoms associated with GERD in adults.

Treatment of ZollingerEllison syndrome (a rare condition that causes the stomach to produce too much acid).

Ddr 30 Cap (Dexlansoprazole) works by blocking the action of a specific enzyme in the stomach cells called the proton pump. This enzyme is responsible for producing acid. By blocking the proton pump, dexlansoprazole reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, which helps to relieve symptoms of GERD and other conditions.

Store dexlansoprazole at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect it from light and moisture.

The dosage of dexlansoprazole will vary depending on the condition being treated and the patient's individual needs.

It is usually taken once daily, either in the morning or in the evening.

It is important to take dexlansoprazole as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking dexlansoprazole without talking to your doctor.

In rare cases, dexlansoprazole can cause more serious side effects, such as:

Low levels of magnesium in the blood

Headache

Diarrhea

Nausea

Abdominal pain

Constipation

Gas

Muscle pain

Weakness

Dizziness

Rash

Itching

Joint pain

Bone fractures

Kidney problems

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of stomach irritation and other side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is not known if dexlansoprazole is safe for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor before taking dexlansoprazole if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.



Children

Dexlansoprazole is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

People with kidney problems may need to adjust their dosage of dexlansoprazole.



Liver

People with liver problems may need to adjust their dosage of dexlansoprazole.
