Flucos Gel 15gm (Fluconazole) works by stopping the growth of fungi. It belongs to a class of medications called azole antifungals. It works by interfering with the production of a substance called ergosterol, which is essential for fungal cell membranes. By disrupting the cell membrane, fluconazole prevents the fungi from growing and multiplying.

Store fluconazole at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dose of fluconazole will depend on the type of fungal infection being treated and your individual health status. Your doctor will determine the correct dosage for you.

Fluconazole is usually taken by mouth with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not stop taking the medication until your doctor tells you to, even if you start to feel better.

It is important to take fluconazole at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.

Do not take more or less fluconazole than prescribed by your doctor.

If you miss a dose of fluconazole, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Common side effects include:

- Rarely, more serious side effects can occur. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience:

Headache

Nausea

Abdominal pain

Diarrhea

Skin rash

Itching

Elevated liver enzymes

Changes in blood counts

Severe allergic reactions (hives, swelling, difficulty breathing)

Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)

Liver problems

Kidney problems

Seizures

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking fluconazole as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Fluconazole can cause dizziness, drowsiness, and blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Fluconazole can harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. This medication may not be safe for you.



Children

Fluconazole is not recommended for children under 18 years of age unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose of fluconazole.



Liver

If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose of fluconazole.
