Oxotin P 30mg/100mg Tablet (Phenobarbitone + Phenytoin) both work by suppressing the spread of abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Phenobarbitone enhances the effects of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that inhibits neuronal activity, while phenytoin blocks sodium channels in nerve cells, preventing the rapid firing of action potentials.

Store the medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not flush unused medication down the toilet or drain. Dispose of it properly as instructed by your healthcare professional.

It is typically administered orally in tablet or capsule form.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Phenobarbitone and phenytoin can be harmful to a developing fetus or infant. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider before taking this medication if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 2 unless advised by a healthcare professional.
