Met Xl Atf 50mg Tab (Atorvastatin + Metoprolol) work together to lower cholesterol levels and reduce blood pressure. Atorvastatin blocks the production of cholesterol in the liver, while metoprolol reduces heart rate and blood pressure by blocking the effects of adrenaline and noradrenaline on the heart and blood vessels.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of atorvastatin and metoprolol will vary depending on your individual needs and medical condition.

It is important to take the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking the medication without first talking to your doctor.

This medication is usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Serious side effects are rare but can include liver problems, muscle damage (rhabdomyolysis), and allergic reactions.

Common side effects include headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle pain, and rash.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it can increase the risk of liver problems.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically directed by your doctor. Atorvastatin can harm a developing fetus, and metoprolol can pass into breast milk.



Children

This medication is not typically prescribed for children unless specifically directed by your doctor.



Kidney

Your doctor may need to adjust the dosage if you have kidney problems.
