Pyrimethamine

An antifolate medication that inhibits dihydrofolate reductase (dhfr), an enzyme crucial for parasite dna synthesis.

Sulphadoxine

A sulphonamide antibiotic that inhibits dihydropteroate synthase (dhps), another enzyme essential for folate synthesis in parasites.

Treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria, particularly in areas where chloroquine resistance is prevalent.

Prophylaxis (prevention) of malaria in some specific highrisk situations (consult your doctor).

Malarprim Suspension (Pyrimethamine + Sulphadoxine) act synergistically. Pyrimethamine blocks DHFR, and sulphadoxine blocks DHPS. By inhibiting sequential steps in folate synthesis, they effectively stop parasite growth and reproduction.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
