Lenangio 5mg Tab (Lenalidomide) is an immunomodulatory drug (IMiD). Its exact mechanism isn't fully understood, but it's believed to work by modulating the immune system, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, and potentially inducing tumor cell death. It interacts with cereblon, a protein involved in protein degradation, leading to the downregulation of specific proteins crucial for myeloma cell survival.

Lenalidomide is highly teratogenic (can cause birth defects). Women should use effective contraception and avoid pregnancy while taking this medication and for a significant time after treatment. Breastfeeding is not recommended.
