Treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 infection in adults

Treatment of chronic HCV infection with compensated cirrhosis

Ledipasvir is a direct-acting antiviral agent that inhibits the NS5A protein of HCV, preventing viral replication. Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide polymerase inhibitor that blocks the function of the HCV NS5B polymerase, also preventing viral replication. When used together, Ledihep Tablet (Ledipasvir + Sofosbuvir) act synergistically to inhibit HCV replication.

Store ledipasvir and sofosbuvir at room temperature (20°C to 25°C). Keep the medicine in its original container.

The recommended dosage is one tablet taken once daily with or without food.

The duration of treatment varies depending on the HCV genotype and the presence of cirrhosis. Consult your doctor for specific dosage instructions.

Alcohol Consumption

Limit alcohol consumption while taking ledipasvir and sofosbuvir.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Ledipasvir and sofosbuvir may cause dizziness or fatigue. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Ledipasvir and sofosbuvir should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine.



Children

Ledipasvir and sofosbuvir can be used in children 3 years of age and older weighing at least 13 kg. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.



Kidney

No dosage adjustments are required for patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment. Consult your doctor for specific instructions if you have severe kidney impairment.



Liver

Ledipasvir and sofosbuvir are generally safe for patients with compensated cirrhosis. However, it is important to monitor liver function closely during treatment.
