Glimepiride

A sulfonylurea medication that helps your pancreas release more insulin, a hormone that lowers blood sugar.

Metformin

A biguanide medication that helps lower blood sugar by reducing the amount of glucose your liver produces and improving your body's sensitivity to insulin.

Voglibose

An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of carbohydrates in your gut, which helps lower blood sugar levels after meals.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.

This combination medication works by enhancing insulin secretion from the pancreas (glimepiride), reducing hepatic glucose production (metformin), and delaying carbohydrate absorption from the gut (voglibose), ultimately lowering blood sugar levels.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of this medication will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

Typically taken once or twice daily with meals.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not change your dosage or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Symptoms include sweating, dizziness, hunger, headache, blurred vision, and confusion.

Gastrointestinal disturbances: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.

Skin reactions: Rash, itching, hives.

Weight gain.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication can cause hypoglycemia, which can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid these activities if you experience symptoms of low blood sugar.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney

This medication should be used with caution in people with kidney problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage.



Liver

This medication should be used with caution in people with liver problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage.
