Gifaxin Susp 60ml (Rifaximin) is a non-absorbable antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing bacterial protein synthesis and bacterial growth in the gut. It primarily affects the gut flora and has minimal systemic effects due to its poor absorption.
