Neomycin: An antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body.
Fluorometholone: A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling.
Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) with inflammation.
Shortterm treatment of superficial ocular inflammatory conditions responsive to corticosteroids.
Neomycin works by killing or stopping the growth of bacteria. Fluorometholone works by reducing inflammation and swelling by suppressing the body's immune response.
Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Do not freeze.
Apply a small amount of the ointment to the affected eye(s) as directed by your doctor.
The usual dosage is 1 to 2 drops or a small amount of ointment 2 to 4 times daily.
Do not touch the tip of the dropper or tube to the eye.
Burning or stinging.
Increased eye pressure.
Temporary blurring of vision.
Eye irritation.
Headache.
Allergic reactions.
No known interactions.
May cause temporary blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until vision is clear.
