Dixin 0.5mg/2ml Inj (Digoxin) increases the force of heart muscle contractions (positive inotropy) and slows the heart rate (negative chronotropy). It does this by inhibiting the sodium-potassium ATPase pump in heart muscle cells, leading to increased intracellular calcium and enhanced contractility. The effect on heart rate is primarily through its influence on the autonomic nervous system.
Store digoxin at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the medication is expired or shows signs of degradation.
