Ciclesonide

A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways.

Formoterol

A long-acting beta2-agonist (laba) that relaxes and opens the airways.

Maintenance treatment of asthma in patients 12 years of age and older.

Regular treatment to prevent symptoms and reduce exacerbations in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema (in combination with a longacting muscarinic antagonist).

Ciclesonide reduces airway inflammation by binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors, suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators. Formoterol relaxes airway smooth muscle by stimulating beta2-adrenergic receptors, leading to bronchodilation.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C), protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Discard any unused portion after the expiration date.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

Children

Generally not recommended for children under 12 years of age for asthma. Different formulations are available for young children.



Kidney

No significant adjustment of dosage is usually needed for patients with impaired kidney function.

No significant adjustment of dosage is usually needed for patients with impaired liver function, but closely monitor for side effects.
