Chloramphenicol

This is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (api) that provides the antibacterial effect.

Chloromycetin 1gm Cap (Chloramphenicol) binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and ultimately leading to bacterial cell death. This broad-spectrum antibiotic is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
