Ibandronic Acid

Is the active ingredient.

Treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis to reduce the risk of vertebral and nonvertebral fractures.

Treatment of osteoporosis in men at high risk of fracture.

Treatment of bone metastases associated with various cancers (such as breast, lung, and multiple myeloma), reducing skeletalrelated events.

Treatment of Paget's disease of bone (where applicable based on the specific formulation and approval).

Bandrone 6mg Inj (Ibandronic Acid) is a bisphosphonate that inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, leading to a reduction in bone turnover. This results in increased bone mineral density and a lower risk of fractures.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication as directed by your pharmacist or healthcare provider.

Dosage and frequency vary depending on the specific indication, formulation (tablet, injection), and patient factors. Always follow your doctor's instructions precisely.

Oral formulations are typically taken once monthly or weekly on an empty stomach, at least 60 minutes before the first food, drink, or medication of the day.

Intravenous formulations are administered by a healthcare professional.

Do not chew or crush tablets. Swallow whole with a full glass of plain water (without other liquids).

Common side effects include headache, muscle or joint pain, gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain).

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

Ibandronic acid may cause dizziness or lightheadedness in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience these side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Ibandronic acid is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential risks to the developing fetus or infant.



Children

Ibandronic acid is not typically approved for use in children.



Kidney

Kidney impairment may affect the elimination of ibandronic acid. Dosage adjustments may be necessary. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function.



Liver
